This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) explains how bolder.fit (hereinafter referred to as “bolder.fit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a sole proprietorship based in the Arab Republic of Egypt, processes, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you interact with or use our website, applications, or services (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Service”). This Policy also applies to offline interactions in connection with the Service, where such interactions are combined with online data. By using bolder.fit, you agree to the practices outlined in this Policy.
Information Collection
We collect personal information to provide and improve our Services. This includes:
a. Information You Provide to Us Personal information such as name, email address, phone number, fitness metrics (e.g., body weight, workout data, progress photos), and payment information. Coaching information including check-in forms, workout plans, nutritional guidance, and client-coach communications.
b. Information Collected Automatically Technical data such as IP address, device type, browser type, usage patterns, and approximate geolocation to enhance app functionality and user experience.
c. Non-Identifying and De-Identified Information We may aggregate or de-identify personal information to analyze trends and improve our Services without identifying individual users.
Use of Information
We use collected information to:
— Deliver personalized fitness coaching services. — Communicate with users about updates, promotions, or inquiries. — Enhance the functionality and security of our app and website. — Analyze trends and improve our Services. — Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud. — Enforce our community guidelines: when you report a post or comment, or block another user, we store the report or block record (including reason, timestamp, and the parties involved) and use it to review content, remove violating material, and suspend or terminate the accounts of users who violate our guidelines.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as you are an active user. Upon account deactivation or data deletion requests, your information will be permanently erased unless retention is required for legal or regulatory purposes.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared with:
— Service providers and payment processors, including Paymob and Stripe, strictly for the purpose of operating the Service (account management, payment processing, transactional email, hosting, and analytics). — Third-party AI model providers used to power our AI features. See "AI Features and Data Usage" below for details and PII handling. — Legal and regulatory authorities if required by law, court order, or to prevent illegal activity.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
Your Choices and Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
— Access, correct, or delete your personal data. — Restrict or object to the processing of your data. — Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing at any time. — Opt out of having your AI usage retained for model improvement (see the AI Features section).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@bolder.fit.
Security
We prioritize your privacy and security by implementing encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and periodic audits. No system is entirely foolproof — please safeguard your account credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Data may be processed and stored outside of Egypt to provide our Services (for example, on cloud infrastructure operated by providers in Europe or the United States). When transferring data internationally, we take steps consistent with applicable data protection laws and contractual safeguards with our providers.
Links to Other Sites
Our Services may link to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
AI Features and Data Usage
When you use Bolder's AI features — including but not limited to AI-generated training plans, meal plans, check-in drafting, prompt-based queries, and any agentic tool use — the full content of your prompts, responses, tool invocations, and resulting outputs may be retained and used by us to train, evaluate, and improve our AI models and product. By using any AI feature, you consent to this use.
To answer you, your prompts, any photos or files you attach, and the account data the assistant looks up are sent to our AI model provider (currently OpenAI). We ask the provider not to store these requests on its side. Before any AI conversation is used to train or evaluate our models, we make commercially reasonable efforts to remove personally identifiable information (PII), including client names, coach names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other free-text identifiers we can detect. We do not guarantee perfect removal in every edge case.
You can opt out of having your AI usage retained for training at any time by emailing us at hello@bolder.fit. Opting out applies to future AI usage; data already aggregated into training datasets is anonymized and cannot be selectively removed after the fact.
Meal Photos Sent to Bo
Clients can send Bo, the in-app assistant, a photo of a meal (for example with "Scan a meal") and ask it to log that meal.
a. How the photo is processed The photo and your message are sent to our AI model provider (currently OpenAI) so the model can identify the foods and estimate portion sizes. We ask the provider not to store these requests on its side. Bo shows you what it found and only logs the meal after you confirm it.
b. How the photo is stored The photo is saved as an attachment to your chat, in storage kept under your own account. In the app, only you can open it, through links that expire after a few minutes.
c. Removing your photos Deleting a chat removes it from your chat list but does not delete the photos in it. To have your photos deleted, email us at hello@bolder.fit and we will remove them.
d. Model training Meal photos are covered by "AI Features and Data Usage" above: they may be used, with personal details removed where we can, to improve food recognition, unless you opt out by emailing hello@bolder.fit.
Connecting AI Assistants (ChatGPT, Claude)
Coaches can connect their bolder.fit account to a third-party AI assistant, such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic). This is optional and off by default. Only coach accounts can connect, and the connection is made by the coach signing in to bolder.fit and approving it.
a. What the assistant can access When you approve a connection, you choose what it may do. The approval screen lists each permission: viewing your clients, their check-ins, nutrition and workout logs and plans, browsing the exercise and food library, and, only if you allow it, editing your clients' profile details and creating or editing workout and nutrition plans. Unless you allow more, an assistant gets read-only access. It can only act as you, on your own clients and data. It cannot access billing or payment details, passwords, other coaches' data, or administrator functions.
b. What is shared with the AI provider When you ask the assistant a question, the information it retrieves from bolder.fit (for example a client's name, contact details, plans, and training or meal logs) is sent to the AI provider to produce an answer. That provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, not this one. Only connect an assistant if you are permitted to share your clients' information with it.
c. What we store We store a record of each connection: which app, when it was connected, and which permissions were granted. The app's refresh credential is stored only in hashed form. We log when a connection is created, refreshed, or removed. We never write access tokens, authorization codes, or passwords to our logs.
d. Your control You can remove a connection at any time by removing the bolder.fit connector in the assistant, or by emailing hello@bolder.fit and we will remove it. Access stops immediately and the assistant must ask you to sign in again. Access also ends automatically after 30 days without use. Deleting your bolder.fit account removes all of your connections.
e. Contact Questions about connected assistants: hello@bolder.fit.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
